We love it here if I could give it 6 stars I would. Have been many times with our grandson and visitors. Its free to get in and it's a place you can spend as much or as little money as you like. So much to offer the visitor whatever the weather. A lovely cafe/restaurant with excellent staff and service with a smile. The glassworks is brilliant. It is fantastic to watch the skilled glassblowers making all sorts of delightful things. Hand blown glass gifts made on site which you can buy. There is a small museum with original marble runs with buttons to press. Then there is the main shop. What impressed me the most is that in the children's part they are welcome to touch everything. Nobody tells them off. Such fun and relaxing for them. It sells a massive selection of marbles - naturally, and lots of yesteryear games and toys for all ages. The shop also sells a massive variety of gifts. There is an upstairs that sells adult clothes, some furniture and gifts. Look for the snoring bear. He moves around the shop during the night and every time we've visited he's in a different place!! There is a huge original marble run on the wall that is fascinating. Last but not least there is a great outside area for children with a large climbing frame, giant chess game, marble runs etc. Tables and chairs are provided for visitors. To top it up parking is free and there is an overspill car park as well. Altogether a visit is not to be missed. For all ages.

Something for everyone here. Intriguing marble runs from small to a huge one with billiard balls. Keeps adults and children enthralled! You can watch glass being blown here which I absolutely love and could watch for hours. Couple of museum type rooms with historical artifacts including glass items, pottery and games. Pleasant cafe and a variety of quality items in the extensive shop. Shop is pricey as you would expect but plenty for kids to spend a little pocket money on and something interesting for most budgets. Seeing you don't have to pay to go in don't mind spending on a little treat! Could easily take a good afternoon (3 hrs or so) to make the most of what's here. Just as a side point.... it's nice to go somewhere where they pay as much attention to the toilets as the rest of the attraction! They are roomy and spotless!!
